The point about the "get in touch if you can't finish" rule is that, if people don't get in touch, it says that they're brushing off the ficathon as something not worth bothering with, and if that's how they feel, then there's no point in letting them participate again, because such people are simply wasting my time, the time I use to organise this (every participant is one little extra piece of time I have to use to write up the polls and so on).
So in order to convince me not to blacklist you, you have to convince me that you do take this seriously, that I won't be wasting my time if I let you participate again.
How about this: a) post what you have so far of your story, add comment here so I can add it to the masterlist. b) put all your other fics on the backburner, and finish this one ASAP. If it's not completely finished and betaed by the end of January, I'll have to blacklist you. Sorry, but I should be blacklisting you anyway, but in giving you this second chance, the terms need to be stricter. Okay?
