Well, I got it this time. I think it must have gotten zapped by my spam filter, because this time it went into the "dubious" mailbox, rather than the Multi-Lyric mailbox.

(comes back from checking) Yep, it had gotten zapped by my spam filter. I think it was a combination of (a) that your ISP has a spammy reputation and (b) that you sent HTML email (which is very popular with spammers). You can't do anything about your ISP, but turning off HTML on your email should help.

according to Lycos help on sending html it reads, "While you are able to read HTML in your Mail account, you cannot send messages in that language. This means that messages that are written in HTML will be read as plain text, so that the recipient will see the raw HTML you wrote, unless their email client can recognize the text as HTML and converts it properly.

Mail currently supports outgoing messages in 7-bit U.S. ASCII text. Other formats of messages can still be sent as attachments. "

So I guess I am confused. If you know more about this I would appreciate it.

I made certain to send the attachment file in .txt so being a newbie at all this... I am lost for an explanation.

It isn't Lycos that's sending messages in HTML, it's your mail client.
Look at http://expita.com/nomime.html for more info (and help in configuring your mail client).
