Sorry I'm so outrageously late in replying, but...yes! Smecker!love! If you haven't already, I highly recommend checking out dien's fic (http://dien.livejournal.com/tag/bds). She writes a perfect Smecker--cynical and abrasive and tormented and appreciative of beauty. (She also draws him in various compromising positions.) Basically, this is all her fault.
And it was close, but #4 won! I can't wait to get started.
