Ah! Sorry, was confused, because I know I got listed as an installment last year too, when I only posted 7,500 or 10,000. It took me a couple of months to finish the last chapter, that time. =)

Thanks! (This finishathon thing is an awesome idea, by the way; I've loved participating in it all three years I've done it, because it makes me get over the "ugh, but this is a boring/difficult part to write" story blockages and forge ahead).

It arose because I'd found that being on livejournal and participating in ficathons really increased the amount of fic I wrote, but also frustrated me, because I was neglecting my own stories. So I wished that someone could somehow combine the two -- and then I figured out how, and the finish-a-thon was born. 8-)

I was pimping this to a B7 writer for this year and she isn't interested because of the profile, even though this ficathon does allow all genres. Does the children-friendly stipulation only apply to fics posted here rather than linked to?

I think I need to change the profile, since I had thought when I wrote it, that we would post fics here for the ficathons I run, but it's ended up not being that way. I've now changed the profile.

However, I am thinking of not allowing Real People Fiction this time around. I allowed it last time because it hadn't occured to me to forbid it, so it wasn't really fair to change the rules after people had already signed up.

I think disallowing RPF is a good idea, or at least living people or 'Rome' would be out as a fandom. Perhaps say 'fandoms only'; that would cover it.

I think saying "no RPF" would cover it; I think it's reasonably assumed that RPF means living people, since dead people is historical fiction, and that's actually mainstream. 8-)
