Finish-a-thon Extension

Due to circumstances beyond my control, next weekend is going to be pre-empted by Real Life, so I'm giving everyone (including myself) a week's extension.

New due date:
Australia and New Zealand:
Stories finished: 1st November 2008, 10am

The Rest of the World (yes, that includes America):
(Greenwitch Mean Time)
Stories finished: 31st October 2008, midnight

Believe me, that extra time will be taken advantage of. :)

Oh, that helps! I was going to have *something*, but it wasn't likely to be at all polished.

I hope the RL stuff goes well.

I'm sorry RL is chewing on you, but selfishly glad of it, too.

I do actually have over 3,000 words, some of which connect up into sentences, but still no plot resolution.

Oh, thank goodness. I haven't even posted the chapter of BAH that I thought I had finished a week and a half ago yet (unprintable Remus!), I was worriedly planning a lot of sleepless nights this week for the finishathon chapters. =)

No complaints from this quarter; I've been making good progress but was getting nervous, but now I have no doubt the opus will be finished by the revised deadline.

..You are my hero. Thank you!

How long will we have to put the stories up? LJ will be down for several hours on our 31st, and I'll be surprised if it comes up when they predict.

A Quick Question

[personal profile] the_rck 2008-10-29 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
Does it matter where we post our fics? I don't, as a rule, post fic to my LJ. I put it on my website. Will that be all right or do you really want it on LJ?

If all goes well, I think I'll be ready to post tonight. About an hour of editing and polishing should see it done, and it won't need much formatting for my website.

I wasn't sure which entry to drop this question on, so I compromised on this one.

Okay, I have at least 6,000 words of my 10,000 written--I think it may be closer to 8,500, but at least half of that is still in longhand. I shall be typing up as much of it as I can tomorrow, and will post/link what I have before the deadline is up....will it be possible to add the rest the next day or should I just stay up all night typing? *g*

Whew! Awesome. Thank you--I had an idea that it might be okay, but did not want to assume. :-)

Whoops!

So, my bad, I'm that bad American who totally ignored the part of this post that said Greenwitch Mean Time.

*fails*

So, I'm unfinished AND late. Might as well go for broke. *headdesk*

Still, thanks for running this! It was fun. :)
