Finish-a-thon 2010 Sign Ups!

Yes, after months of delay, the sign-ups are here at last.

Announcing... finish-a-thon 2010! Yes, we're doing it again.

Remember all those poor, neglected plot bunnies that have been starving from lack of attention, because all those ficathons kept on having higher priority? The stories you wish you could finish, if only you could find the time? Well, fear not, the finish-a-thon is coming to the rescue!

The finish-a-thon is a ficathon, with all the ficathon-like things like deadlines and fellow volunteers to encourage you, but with this ficathon, you write your own ideas. But since part of the encouragement of a ficathon is writing things for other people, what we're going to do, is vote for which story ideas people should write.

I have set up a website to facilitate the ficathon, including a handy-dandy sign-up form which should make entering all the information easier. This system is slightly different to how it was done last year (while I'm using a wiki again, I'm using a different wiki).

Australia - Saturday 12th June 2010, 8am
Rest of World (GMT) - 11th June 2010, 10pm

Stories due:
Australia - 14th August 2010, 10am
Rest of World (GMT) - 13th August 2010, midnight

Note that you can edit your sign-up information as much as you want until the sign-up deadline, at which point editing will be disabled.

I generally use my LJ name as my pseud, but I tried it using just dreamflower and still ended up at a sign in page. I tried taking a screencap of it to show you, but it didn't work.

Anyhow, the page is purple. It says Katspace > sign in at the top. Below that is a menu with several options in rectangular boxes, starting with Home and ending with Zines.

Below that it says Select your account provider (but there is no place there to select from)
Below that it says Enter your Open ID and there is a box there.
Then a little below that is Name, with a box
Below that, Password, with a box
Below that, buttons that say Login, Register, Reset Password

Below that a darker purple bar that says Last Edited.

Aha!
You should be seeing various icons underneath that, including the LJ (pencil) icon. Have you got images turned off?

Below that it says Enter your Open ID and there is a box there.
If you can't find the LJ icon, then use the OpenID box, and put the following into it:

http://dreamflower02.livejournal.com/

Then click the button that is next to THAT box.

You should then be taken to LJ, where it will ask you to confirm the ID. Things should follow on as expected from there on.
