This is going to be a little bit different. I am notorious for writing immensely long fanfics that I never finish. So what I am committing to is to write 15,000 words of a fic out of these 10. If that gets the story finished, yay -- if it doesn't, well, I'll be 15,000 words closer to done. :-) Some of these fanfics will probably be finished within 15,000 words, and some won't. Most of the fanfics have already been published in part, so I will include links if they have. All of these are alternate universes that break off from the fandom's canon somewhere.

Type: Mildly het, about to get a lot more so. Rating: So far, a soft R, but is scheduled to go NC-17 in this chapter. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Hell no.
2. The Body Snatcher (http://www.alara.net/xmen/bodydisc.html) Fandom(s): X-Men Comics Description: Adult, explicit sexual violence. Magneto's body is stolen by a mutant female serial killer who proceeds to rape and abuse him in her body. Type: Contains sexual violence, m/f and m/m. Not sure how to count that. Rating: Hard NC-17. Explicit rape, torture. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: No.
3. Working In Groups (http://www.alara.net/trek/groups.html) Fandom(s): Star Trek TNG Description: This is Deja Q, the anti-deus-ex-machina remix. What if the Q Continuum had not intervened in any way after Q's selfless act? Type: Gen Rating: PG Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Maybe.
4. Twin Poles: Journeyman of Magnetism (http://www.alara.net/xbooks/twin.html) Fandom(s): X-Men Comics Description: My version of the origin of the character Joseph (Magneto's clone, thought in comics to be Magneto with amnesia for a while). Type: Has a little het, not much. Rating: PG-13. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Maybe.
5. Burning Time (http://www.livejournal.com/users/alara_works/5461.html) Fandom(s): Star Trek TNG Description: Sequel to Guidance (http://www.alara.net/trek/ohwithpicard.html), an AU to "Only Human" above. Soran from "Generations" kidnaps Q. Is scheduled to have Picard, Guinan, and Kirk in major roles, as well as angst, torture, sacrifice, and entirely one-sided sexual fantasies. Type: Slash. Rating: R. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Probably not.
6. Seventeen Things That Might Have Happened To Q: (http://www.alara.net/trek/17things.html) Fandom(s): Star Trek Description: Along the lines of the "Five Things" meme, but I couldn't stick with just five for Q. 9. Five Things That Never Happened to Erik Lehnsherr Fandom: X-Men Comics. Description: It's the Five Things meme, what can I say? Type: Gen and het. Rating: PG-13. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Yes.
10. XXY: Flower Into Diamond Fandom: X-Men, XXY. The XXY AU was a group project where Marvel history was rewritten with all the mutants of opposite sexes, but the humans remained the same (mostly.) Description: This one is the scientific journal of one Nathaniel Essex (not actually a mutant, didn't swap) and his experimentation in Auschwitz on a young girl named Erika Lehnsherr. Type: Dark, nasty and violent, with heterosexual rape. If that counts as het, then this is. Rating: NC-17. Likely to finish in 15,000 words?: Maybe
