Finish-a-thon Kathryn Andersen Poll
The following are the plot-bunnies which Kathryn Andersen
kerravonsen has put up for voting:
(1)
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: all-ages
Type: gen
Description: AU. What if Harry had taken refuge in the library as a child, and read a lot of SF/F books? How would he interpret his accidental magic? (Based on the premise in "Harry Potter The Arch Magus" by DragonBard) This seems likely to be an Epic (being a First Year AU) so I pledge to do 7,000 words.
Quote:
Mrs. Hartigan noticed. Not that she said anything. She would quietly put books down on the table next to Harry; interesting books, fiction as well as non-fiction. Thus was Harry introduced to the adventures of Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy the dog; he sailed through space with the trade ship Solar Queen; he learned about the power of Laran and wished he had red hair; he marched along with the Roman Eagles; and he shivered with the deep, deep cold of Between. He imagined exchanging riddles in the dark; he stepped with Lucy through a wardrobe door; he delighted with Charlie and his golden ticket; he foraged with Ayla and practiced being still and silent. Dudley wasn't a lynx, but Harry certainly wanted to avoid his notice just as much.
(2)
Fandom: Doctor Who
Rating: teen
Type: het
Description: "By Any Other Name" - a complete rewrite of my earlier finish-a-thon story of the same title. Yet another "Parting of the Ways" AU, involving pocket watches, Jack's two-year gap in his memory, Romana, Rose, self-sacrifice... and stuff. And no Bad Wolf.
(3)
Fandom: Doctor Who/Buffy
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description: "You Can't Go Home Again": Sequel to "Doesn't Look Like A Hell Dimension" (see http://www.katspace.org/stories/Kathryn_Andersen/Doesnt_Look_Like_A_Hell_Dimension) in which Buffy and the Doctor have adventures and stuff.
(4)
Fandom: Doctor Who/Sapphire & Steel
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description: Time is out of joint. Both the (5th) Doctor and Sapphire & Steel investigate, and are caught up in its coils. (inspired by the dream described at http://kerravonsen.livejournal.com/162925.html)
(5)
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description: Snape's shade, dying on the floor of the Shrieking Shack, goes back in time and warns his past self.
