Yes, there will be a finish-a-thon

A number of people have been asking me about whether there will be a finish-a-thon this year, and when it will be. So I thought I'd just mention here, that, yes, there will be a finish-a-thon, but it is going to be earlier this time, so as not to clash with Christmas things as well as not clashing with NaNoWriMo. The vague dates are:

Sign-ups: mid-August
Writing starts: start of September
Due date: end of October

Anybody interested should friend this community, because this is where announcements are going to be.

Question:

I believe I vowed last year that I wouldn't enter the finish-a-thon this year because I never *did* finish mine last year. However, I'll admit, I'm still tempted. So how's this--if I finish last year's story before signups end, may I reapply for this year?

(Can't promise that will happen, especially since I'm moving, but it's the only way I'd feel...well, right to even consider participating.)

Oh, you certainly may reapply, because you did try. It's the folks that didn't try and didn't even bother contacting me that are in the bad books.

Okay, ack. Well, I just looked at the sign-up deadline again, and there's pretty much no way I *can* finish last year's first because I'm moving the day before and I'm spending 90% of my spare time right now packing. *sigh* So...I'm going to go ahead and sign up, but I will finish both stories. Promise. Or this time I really *won't* ever sign up again. :-/
