I have to confess that I won't have my WIP done. Neither of the main characters are talking to me, and I've finally just given up in frustration, after only adding about 500 words, instead of ten thousand.

I'm in the exact same place. I got 2,000 words written, but they're crappy words and I hate them. I seem to have lost my Buffy muse and it won't come back no matter how much I beg. Mods, please remove me from the list.

So sorry you're feeling frustrated. It's a tricky thing, trying to get a writing project jump-started and to accomplish a substantial word-count.
