Moderator announcement

Please, DO NOT post "I haven't been able to complete the finish-a-thon" announcements here. The proper place and time to inform me is when I put up the master-list post, and you can tell me in comments there -- that way, everything is all in one place and I don't have to go hunting around for it or trying to remember who said what.

Please.

I suspect people got confused because in the sign-up you said people who bailed without contacting you would be barred from future participation. But you didn't specify how or when we should contact you.

My fic has blossomed into a full-blown novel. Would it be all right to post the first chapter as part of the finish-a-thon, even though it's a start, not a finish?

Thanks. It's really coming along nicely, but I'm already commited to doing something else for NaNoWriMo, so it will be January at the earliest before it is done!

Have to post here because won't be around later.

The trouble with your suggestion is that if the delay is caused by limited internet access no one *can* contact you if they have to wait until they don't have internet access.

Renovations are going on on my house. I won't be anywhere there is reliable Internet or access to the computer my story is on until very very late tonight and I still have to type some of it in from paper and format it for web posting. So I won't be able to post until tomorrow. But because I won't have internet access at all for the next twelve hours or so I have to tell you now or I won't be able to say anything until I'm actually ready to post. :-)
