Yes, the stories are here! Actually, they aren't here, they're here.

As I said before, I'm keeping the authorship secret for about a week (well, I'll probably do the changeover on the weekend) and then reveal the authors.

And now, you should comment here on them. I have started threads for each story, so you should be able to comment separately on separate stories -- see below.

Good, classic SG-1 adventure, with thoughtful character interlude at the end. I had to think about it a bit to see how it fit with the song, but really, the bit at the end was what the point of the whole story was. Except that the stuff leading up to it was, as I said, good classic Stargate adventure. Ah, I like early-season SG-1.

Busted. :-) It's true, that's what I was going for (I actually had an even more complicated plotline in my head, and then realized that there was no way I could write it in less than, oh, a few months--and this one worked fine). And I watched Forever In A Day for the first time right after I finished the rough draft--and was amused to see my take on Daniel given some canon proof.

Glad you liked the early-season setting...I had fun trying to make sure I was far enough back in their heads.

I think part of my problem was that I knew (of course, since it was my request) which songs you'd been given, and because of the black liquid thing I kept on expecting that the song would be "Bright Sunshiny Day" and I was second-guessing the story too much. Wheras if I had gone in without expectations I would have been less confused!

:-) That would have worked well...and I pondered it...but realized that I can't write Jack-pov fast at all. His voice takes me FOREVER to get right, much as I love the guy. So I listened to Daniel instead.

Re: early season-ness: my beta did have to point out one or two things to me, but fortunately they were small. [we didn't manage to figure out when exactly Jack started calling Teal'c "T", for example; just that it sure wasn't early on.]

Oh I understand about the things that can trip one up -- for mine I was going through Season 1 tapes to try to track down the very first time Daniel shot a gun -- and was very pleased that it turned out to be that particular very angsty moment...
