The following are the plot-bunnies which Linaewen [livejournal.com profile] lin4gondor has put up for voting:

(1)
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description:

Face of the Enemy -- "Boromir and the forces of Gondor must act quickly to defend against an unexpected attack from an army of Haradrim. This tale takes place in the year before the events leading up to the attack on Osgiliath by Sauron, and Boromir setting out on his quest in July 3018."

Currently stalled at 8 chapters! It probably has a good 5 chapters left to get it where I want it to go.

(2)
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description:

Lords of Gondor -- "Every Boromir fan dreams of how the story might have gone if Boromir had not died that day upon Amon Hen, and wonders how having a living Boromir might affect the outcome of the story. This is that tale as I have imagined it -- an AU tale of Boromir alive, doing what it takes to get back home."

Currently stalled at 45 chapters -- no idea how many more it will be, so this one is basically epic.

(3)
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Rating: all-ages
Type: gen
Description: Plot bunny about cicadas in Middle-earth. I love cicadas and ME, so thought it would be fun to put them together.

(4)
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Rating: teen
Type: gen
Description: Plot bunny about Boromir and Faramir on a journey to survey the coastal lands of Gondor. Faramir fears the sea and dreams of boats and premonitions of doom.

Okay!

The cicada plot bunny really gave the Lords of Gondor epic a run for its money! They were tied for quite awhile there, right up until the end! I might just have to write that one, also -- but not until after I've made sure I've done what I need to for the winning tale. ;-)

According to the rules, I believe I need to commit to a certain number of words on an epic that has little chance of being finished within the time frame? I didn't actually state that in my proposal, so I shall state my goal here -- let me know if there is another place to announce it, so people know whether I have reached my goal or not!

I commit to writing at least 8,000 words for Lords of Gondor by the due date of August 13th!
