kerravonsen: rainbow sparkles: "Squee!" (squee!)
[personal profile] kerravonsen posting in [community profile] multific
One thing I am missing about this year's sign-ups is the squee that people would do when they saw what people have signed up with. So, in the name of "Take Back The Glee" Year, I hereby open the Post of Squee.

Take a look (and come back to) the Full Author List, and post here about the story ideas that you are squeeful about.

ETA2: I have added links back to this post, so you can click on a link at the individual author page and it will post it here! (I love it when a plan comes together)

The story that started out as "The Dowager Duchess of Denver meets the DoctorDonna" and turned into "Jack Harkness picks on somebody his own age for once" - an epistolary tale, in which the Dowager Duchess confesses to her daughter-in-law about her mad fling with a dashing American, and Lady Peter wildly abuses her husband's Home Office connections. Gratuitous Agatha Christie and swing dancing!

I never thought I'd be eager to see Lord Peter (or, well, his female relations) crossed over with anyone from any other fandom, but this sounds fantastic. *g*

Thanks! It was supposed to be comment!fic with the Duchess being win, but then I started to think about 1930s Torchwood, and got distracted. :D

Lord Peter is one of those fandoms where at first glance I thought "No, crossovers will never work", and yet people have written some really amazing crossovers for it. Have you red Green Ice (http://www.quillsandink.com/fiction/viewstory.php?sid=1048), probably the best bit of Lord Peter fic out there? It crosses over with Jeeves & Wooster (though you don't need more than a vague idea about Wooster to get it), and is just a really amazing look at the characters and world.

I really feel squeeful about this one! I adore the Dowager Duchess, and totally think this sounds terrific. "Gratuitous Agatha Christie and swing dancing!" Which sounds even more terrific!
