One thing I am missing about this year's sign-ups is the squee that people would do when they saw what people have signed up with. So, in the name of "Take Back The Glee" Year, I hereby open the Post of Squee.

Jane Kirk's Enterprise is a genderswap of Kirk and Spock. The story in the URL introduces Jane Kirk; the next story planned, the one I am pledging, would be "Vulcan Sands", introducing the genderswapped Spock and getting her back from Vulcan into space.

This story tries to make sense of the Archangel arc by setting it in Diane Duane's "Young Wizards" universe, where young people are chosen to become wizards and battle the Lone Power who invented Death. Richie is a new wizard on Ordeal, Joe is an Advisory wizard, Mac's an Abdal (whether he realizes it or not,) Methos is sick and tired of the Lone Power thinking he's _special_, and some very important Choices get made (and unmade, and delayed.)

The story that started out as "The Dowager Duchess of Denver meets the DoctorDonna" and turned into "Jack Harkness picks on somebody his own age for once" - an epistolary tale, in which the Dowager Duchess confesses to her daughter-in-law about her mad fling with a dashing American, and Lady Peter wildly abuses her husband's Home Office connections. Gratuitous Agatha Christie and swing dancing!

I never thought I'd be eager to see Lord Peter (or, well, his female relations) crossed over with anyone from any other fandom, but this sounds fantastic. *g*

STORY: During the period when Spike is more or less babysitting Dawn, she asks him to read "Mary Poppins" to her; he refuses, and thereby hangs a tale. It seems there was a family connection between Quentin Travers of the Watchers' Council and P. L. Travers, author of the Poppins books -- and that Spike once crossed paths with one Marie Poppins, who was (a) a good deal more dangerous than her literary self, and (b) as much a thorn in the Council's side as she was in Spike's.

Oooh, now this sounds interesting; a Buffyverse take on Mary Poppins is likely to take away all the sugar and leave the spice.

Estraven saves him, and the two of them finally act on the sexual tension that went on through the whole darn book. Occurs not long before the Tragic Ending, so there's also the potential for angst.

There really should be a lot more Phileas Fogg fic out there! I've always loved Around the World in Eighty Days and loved it even more after reading Philip Jose Farmer's own published fanfic, The Other Log of Phileas Fogg, so this sounds like amazing fun!

Five voices (working title). This is a response to the Lort Gen fic challenge with the theme of "Young and Old", in which you should have two characters interacting: one young and one old. There should be at least one generation between the two characters, who may be of any race or era of Middle-earth. This story is also a personal fic request of Dreamflower: LotR--which Elves left with Sam? What did they think of him?
